Get ready for truly immersive entertainment. The UltraNUC Pro 7 is built with a 7th Generation Intel processor. So whether you’re streaming the latest movie or need to finish that last minute presentation, you’ve got the performance to handle it with ease. With dual-array front microphones, you can take full advantage of Windows 10 and Cortana. Now you’ve got your own digital personal assistant to keep you on time to appointments, help you send email, or find that new recipe. Intel NUC Kits also supports 4K at 60 Hz via an HDMI 2.0 port.

Even though the NUC is small in size, it is just as versatile as a full-sized computer whilst being convenient enough to be portable. The HDMI 2.0 output provides full 4K resolution as well as 7.1 digital audio output, (a capable AV Receiver is required). There’s also a USB Type-C port that provides USB 3.1 for faster data transfer or an additional monitor via an adapter cable.

Extensive Connectivity

For such a small chassis, you’d expect to see some lack of connectivity or compromises due to its size. In fact the Intel NUCs have an extensive range of ports available. Take a look at the image below to see which ports are available.

Up to Quad-Core Processing Power

Intel’s Core processors are renowned for being the “go-to” CPU for virtually any personal computer. The processors in the NUCs are Intel’s “U” suffix variants. The “U” denotes that the CPU is a lower power alternative to their desktop brothers and as such will consume less power and generate less heat. This makes them perfect for such a small environment.

The UltraNUC can be configured with a choice of the Core i3-7100U, Core i5-7300U or the beefy Core i7-8650U. As you can see from the table below all CPUs offer different clock speeds. The i3 and i5 are both dual-core CPUs that are ideal as home or office PCs. The i5 has an added benefit of supporting “Turbo Frequency” which allows the CPU to increase its speed beyond the “Base Frequency” of 2.6GHz to 3.5GHz, giving it extra performance if required. The i7 CPU also features “Turbo Frequency” that boosts the CPU from 1.9GHz to a whopping 4.2GHz and unlike the i3 and i5 CPUs, the i7 is a quad-core processor, which is why its Passmark score is significantly higher.

Processor Number Cores/Threads Base Frequency Turbo Frequency SmartCache Intel ARK Passmark Score
i3-71000U 2/4 2.4 GHz N/A 3 MB Link 3801
i5-73000U 2/4 2.6 GHz 3.5 GHz 3 MB Link 5090
i7-8650U 4/8 1.9 GHz 4.2 GHz 8 MB Link 8949

You can easily travel with the NUC and simply connect it to an LCD TV at the place you’re travelling to - a remote office, hotel room or friend’s house. A whole host of capabilities are possible when connected to the internet via broadband. The NUC is the epitome of versatility and portability. Alternatively, you can enjoy an uncluttered desk with the NUC mounted somewhere out of the way - even behind your monitor! (A VESA monitor mounting bracket is provided.)

Clean Build™ Promise

The price of many pre-built PCs these days is often supported by cash kickbacks from software companies who pay hardware manufacturers to pre-install limited or trial versions of their software and then hope that the customer pays to upgrade to the full version. The downside to this approach is that the new PC comes pre-loaded with a lot of “junkware” which bloats the operating system and can cause severe performance degradation.

Here at Quiet PC we believe that customers have every right to expect the best possible performance from a brand new PC, so every system we build comes with our Clean Build™ promise. We install the operating system (if you order one), motherboard drivers, OS updates and Microsoft Security Essentials / Windows Defender - that’s it. You won’t be pestered by pop-ups and nag screens and you can get on with using your new PC immediately without having to uninstall lots of junkware first. Your new machine will boot in super-quick time and will stay running quickly for many months and years to come.

Free hardware support and fully inclusive warranty

We offer free hardware technical support for as long as you own the machine. This support covers any hardware query or problem, including advice on maintenance and upgrades. We regret we can’t offer software support or training so we would recommend contacting the software vendor in this instance.

Our hardware warranty runs for two years and is “collect and return” meaning that you don’t need to worry about getting the machine back to us - we will instruct our courier to collect it from you on a day of your choosing, then after we have checked and repaired it, we will send it back to you by express courier at our expense. In addition, unlike many other PC suppliers, we have an “open-case” policy which means you are free to open the machine and perform your own minor modifications or upgrades without worrying that your warranty might be affected.
